September 2007 - Classic Art Source is a proud sponsor of the  restoration of Stetson Mansion in Deland, Florida...

Stetson Mansion Peacock  We contributed a 3' x 4' outdoor art piece specifically designed with one of the more flamboyant of animals known to roam the 300 acre estate, the peacock ...

Our outdoor art graces the front porch of the mansion.  This brightly colored peacock will last as long as this beautiful home has and still retain its color and beauty over the next 100 years.

The history of John B. Stetson and his Winter estate is facinating...A truly unusual combination of Gothic, Tudor, Moorish and Polynesian architecture, the Stetson mansion is known as one of (Florida’s most unique Victorian homes. This mansion which sits on over 2 acres of sprawling greens was designed in 1886 by noted architect George T. Pearson. Known for his great attention to detail, this home boasts over 10,000 sq ft. including beautiful intricately inlayed parquet floors and stained glass windows with rare roundels.

Listed on the National Historic Register and conveniently located between Orlando and Daytona Beach, the mansion dwells in the historic town of DeLand, Florida. It was originally the home of John B. Stetson, founder of the Stetson Hat Co. aStetson Mansion porch viewnd a major contributor to Stetson University. This home has seen the likes of Kings, Presidents and Dignitaries as well as having the electrical installation overseen by Stetson's good friend, Thomas Edison.
